Sax Keeps You Fit...Maybe!

In my last blog I wrote about being able to play Mary had a little lamb and over the past few weeks nursery rhymes have been a strong theme. I can now play:

Mary had a little lamb London
Bridge Baa Baa Black Sheep
Twinkle, twinkle little star

I have been focusing on breathing techniques – some of the hints and tips that you can find on the Internet are hilarious! My personal favourite, “If you need to breathe, by all means take a breath... passing out will be more disruptive than a quick breath.”

Obviously I have to pace my breathing to "fit" into the music but sometimes I just don’t have the lung capacity. I think that I may need to start doing extra cardio exercise as well as practising the saxophone. Soon I will not only be talented at the saxophone but I will be fit too!!!
