12 Month Warranty

All musical instruments sold by Karacha music are provided with a 12 month return to base manufacturer’s warranty, although less than 0.1% will ever need it.

No return for refund is accepted for any reason outside of 30 days.

Important: 90% of warranty returns we receive are not covered by warranty and a repair charge is applied. Please read the below to ensure you only return an instrument when a genuine parts failure occurs.

We recommend you have your instrument serviced by a local professional once every 12-18months.


What does return to base mean?

The customer is responsible for delivering the instrument to Karacha and collecting the instrument from Karacha. If you would like to arrange the collection and redelivery with our preferred courier you may do so for the sum of £20 in total – payable before collection. If you would like to return it to Karacha yourself but would like us to return it to you once repaired simply include a cheque for £10 with the return.


What is covered by warranty?

Genuine and obvious parts failure.Verified as such by the manufacturer or appointed specialist.

What is not covered by warranty?

Musical instruments require ongoing care and maintenace, if a note on an instrument sounds out after a few months or developes a buzz, squeek etc it probably  requires a minor adjustment which should be carried out locally as part of your ongoing care and maintenance routine. This is very much general wear and tear and is not covered by warranty.

More Examples of problems not covered by warranty: Chipping/Tearing/Splitting Cork, Bending Keys, Splitting wood due to over tightening, splitting internal wires by spinning the jack plug, dents.
Any ancillary accessory such as strings and reeds.
Instrument Cases.


How to return an instrument under warranty:

Please call or email us before returning an item, we may be able to help you (eg. send a replacement part) without the need for the return.


If you would like to use our couriers charged at £20 please contact us and we will provide you with information on booking the collection.

Package the instrument appropriately.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure to include a fully completed warranty form, you may download the form by clicking here


If you do not have access to a printer please include a letter detailing:


I. Your name.
II. Your Address.
III. Your contact number.
IV. Your order number.
V. List in detail the issue with the instrument.

If not prepaid please ensure to include your £10 return postage.

Please note including a letter rather than using our preferred form may result in a  processing delay.


Important Notice: Warranty May Take up to 30 Days


Warranty is the direct responsibility of the manufacturer not the retailer, in many cases once an instrument is returned Karacha will be required to complete a manufacturer report / return the instrument to the manufacturer. We will always endeavour to have an instrument returned within 30 days. Although our staff can liaise with the manufactures the time frame is often out of our hands.
